sick goldfish

can some one please tell me the disease my goldfish has in how to cure it.
he's a black moor goldfish and he has like some sort of bubbly fungus on his face and is gasping at the top of the tank . the filter on the tank is broke hes in a 20 gallon high. someone please help.:(

Your gold fish sounds like he is stressed. Lack of oxygen. First thing you need to do is get another filter, or use an air pump to get the oxygen going. He will die if this goes on.

it sounds like he might have a fungal infection. you need to buy some medication. if treated quickly fungus is usually quite easy to beat.

also get the filtration and oxygenation. the stress of poor water conditions may have led to the infection and will certainly hamper recovery.

AW! i hav a comet goldfish, so i hav no experience w/ orandas, but it does sound lyk a fungal infection.... :(

Do a partial water change, match temperature and treat with the appropriate dechlorinator.

How long has the tank been in operation?

what do you add to this tank? salt? water conditioners?

How do you clean the tank? How often?
