Ok i HAVE to do a water change as the NitrIte levels have gone up, but i have no conditioner, what do i do?

And dont say buy some cause i cant get to the shops till 2 days...

as long its not a major w/c you should do fine doing a small one, 15% maybe with out condition.

in my 30 i do push it a little and do 20% with out condition, then again it all depend on your tap water i guess.

agreed, if the water change isn't 50% or something large like that, I'd say you'll be ok..... 10% - 15% being the max for now and then maybe doing it again when you are able to get to the store.

Do you treat for chlorine, or chloramines? If chlorine, just agitate the water for half an hour ( abubbler works great), then use. Chlorine is very unstable and gasses off easily. Chloramines, on the other, really should be treated--they are much, much more stable than chlorine.
