Ok, i was wondering if you could have too much flitration, im not on about the current like the other thread i read, i was jus wondering if its bad to filter the water too much, i have a fluval 304 on my 4ft tank, i might get a fluval 4 plus to go inside to give it twice as much filtration, will this be a good idea, keeping my water cleaner n clearer?

Thnks!

It is not posible to over-filter. Biofiltration is self-limited by the amount of ammonia and nitrite generated in the tank. Mechanical filtration is limited only by the pore size or particle capture size of whatever the mechanical filter media is, so is theoretically open-ended. But if the mech filtration is all coarse, adding more may not produce crystal clear water.
