Anyone have a couple of full grown Malaysian Trumpet Snails they would like to part with? So far, all that have come in with my plants are ramshorn and pond snails. Thanks.

Sorry to bring up an old post, but if you're still looking, try your local Petsmart/Petco. I know that is normally considered taboo, bit it may surprise you.

My wife and I stopped by a Petsmart (we had to pick up some hamster food) and I had to go look at the fish (ok so I'm obsessed) and I noticed a tank FULL of MTS. There had to have been 100 of them from 1/4 inch to a full inch. I asked how much they sold for and the gal looked at me like I was crazy. She told me I could have every one in the store, even begged me to take them. LOL! So who knows, may be a way to go.

I could mail you a dozen easily if you can't find any in any stores. I got mine for free from walmart of all places.

8 Rasboras, 3 Swordtails and several Ramshorn snails.

My 10 gallon above is the reason I was considering MTS's. As you can see, vacuuming would be a challenge and I really do not have room for bottom feeders. I had a few ghost shrimp, but never see the darn things and was probably the cause of their demise whilst vacuuming. I have Ramshorn snails, but they do not turn over the substrate as MTS's would. I keep hearing how prolific they are and hence my hesitation. Perhaps you can provide some insight into your own experiences SnakeIce. Thanks
