Can someone who has had experience with this wood tell me a bit about it, does it leak tannins at all, can i stop that some how before i put it in my tank, i here boiling some woods stops it, i have a piece about a foot long going in my 55 gal tank, any info will be great!

Boiling helps but it will still leach for quite a while, maybe just not as much. I have a small piece in a 20g long that still leaches after six years, and then I've had pieces stop after just a few weeks. I have heard of people varnishing the wood to no ill effects on the tank but I would be leary of doing that.
