Deco ideas?

My LFS gave me eleven flat river rocks, about 4" each.

What on earth would you do with them? I can't find a decent way of using them in my tank. I use aragonite and have a piece of driftwood and a few java ferns. They just don't look right...but I want them too :)

I used three of them in my daughter's goldfish tank because I have three different sized pebbles in there and thought it would add a nice touch. Working with white sand and dark rocks looks kind of funny.

Give me some ideas...PLEASE hehe :idea2:
 
What type of fish do you have?

Perhaps making a pile of them and attaching some java fern at key spots would look nice. A big pile of fern! And if some fish are small enough they could use the caves.
 
This tank has one F8 and two BBG's.

Do you think I could use super glue gel to create a tunnel or cave? I'm just concerned that my BBG's might get squished if the rocks slip a bit.

How exactly do I get java to attach? Simply rubberband it? :confused:
 
Maybe plant the java then pile the rocks up around it nice n tight so then the plant is coming up through the rocks...Maybe that'l look nice, dunno though
 
Buy a small tube of aquarium silicon fromt he fish store. Shouldn' tbe more than 5 dollars or so and come sin clear or black. Use that to glue the rocks together as it is really the best for surviving under water. Superglue will fail.
 
I do use either rubberbands or clear plastic thread to attach java fern, until it attaches itself.
 
Super glue is a cyanoacrylate and does not have a very long lifespan. The silicon will last for an extremely long time. The superglue will last for some time but it is also a brittle glue and fails quite easily under stress.
