Sick Black Ruby Barb

I have a Black Ruby barb with a possable swim bladder problem. I have her in a q tank. also her scales look kinda milky. Any solutions or what I should do? :confused:

i'm sorry to say but swim bladder problems have in my experience been ultimately fatal. the only time i've been successful was when the problem was due to constipation - the intestines were putting pressure on the swim bladder. live food can help with this i believe.

however because of the problem with the scales it sounds like the swim bladder problem is just a symptom of the real problem. i don't really know what you mean by the scales being milky. have they lost colour or are they covered with something. any chance of pics?

finally the usual question - what are your water conditions, tank size and other fish in the tank?
