Diagonize this disease for me plz

Hi Guys

I noticed some tiny white spots (almost like sprayed white dust) on my black CT Betta yesterday. Is this what you call Ich/Ick (?) If so, how do you treat this ? And what is there that I can do immediately to help him ? (He lives in a bowl all to himself)

Remove the carbon from your filter go to your LFS and get some Ick medication and use it in the bowl. You can also try raising the temperature due to that the ick cant live at higher temps like say 80-82 and a little salt.

But tell me, can Ick be life threatening, or is just a nuisance ?
 
Ich if not treated right away could lead to the death of your fish. I second that you go to your LFS right away and pick up some meds to treat with, however, make sure you read the labels as not all medications can be used in a bowl setup...most need some sort of filtration. Maybe someone else more experienced here could help you out as to what meds to get exactly. Hope your betta's okay
