ive had some java moss rubberbanded to some driftwood for maybe a couple months already, how long is it supposed to take to attach?

Not sure exactly how long it takes, but I recently took some from another tank I had and tied some small plantlets to another piece of driftwood. It's been ~2 months now, but I don't bother checking, as I'm in no rush.
I'd say it could take anywhere from a month and up, but YMMV

Patience is key in this end of the hobby. They're called "aquatic gardens" for a reason. Odds are, after 2 months, your moss is already lightly attached. Wait another 6 weeks or until the rubber band breaks. When I use rubberbands, I don't remove them until they disintegrate enough to remove themselves. Next time, try black cotton thread; it'll dissolve on it's own and is harder to see than rubberbands.
