Ghost Shrimp

what size tank do you have? (thats just to decide the amount) They Usually dont grow larger then 2" and come cheap, 10 for 2 dollars, but be careful, I asked for 10 once, and the guy who was giving them gave me 25, luckily i had room to house them....and fed some to my yoyo's eheheheh. ALso very important, a lot of species of fish wille at them and nip them and are common as tropical fish food. Also, they are pretty good at cleaning algea, and fish poop, they scavenge along the bottom so they are good for that. They Molt, so if you see something looking like a ghost shrimp floating there, dont worry, most likely it just molted, their pretty hardy little guys.

I hope that helps!!saw some at the lfs for like $.15 each, thinking of getting some for my tanks. I have a 10 and a 5 gallon, with 2 cae in the 10 that i watn to get rid of (4 guppies, 2 platies, 1 dwarf gourami as well) and in the 5 gallon 1 male betta, 2 ADF, and 2 white clouds, how many ghost shrimp should I get (and will they work with the fish i have?)
or would I be better off geting like a small bottom feeder, like some sort of catfish?

i bought about a dozen ghost shrimp for my gourami tank when all it had was 2 dwarves and an opaline and they got devoured. So your gourami might scarf them down.
