I have a male and a female. The way to tell them appart is by looking at the dorsal fin. The male has a longer one that is more pointy while the famle is rounded at the tip. When they breed the male will build a bubble nest at the surface of the water. This can only happen if there are surface plants and the water is almost perfectly still. After spawning the male places the eggs in the bubble nest and protects it. Eggs will hatch in 24 to 48 hours.
