Mystery Fish.

I admit defeat! Would someone please identify this fish for me.

It was born in my mother's goldfish pond. It has been living in her aquarium for over a year. It is about 2 inches long, grey (not silvery) appearance, flat head and slightly up-turned mouth. Could it in fact be a goldfish?

Guppy or platy either way they are nearly identicle to care for.
