Two days ago, I noticed that one of my yellow rams had a dark red ring on his side about halfway down his body. Today, it looks more like a red blotch. It's not on his skin, it's on the inside, but I can see it from the outside. He's not acting any different, he's still alert and swims around fine and eats. I looked it up on several fish disease websites, and it seems to be Bacterial hemorrhagic septicemia (whatever that is). I don't want to order this medication (which is expensive) and treat my fish for Bacterial hemorrhagic septicemia if that's not what it really is. Can anyone confirm what I think it is or maybe offer another suggestion as to what it is? Thanks!
