Cleaning crew recomendations please.

My tank is a 135 gallon FOWLR and the algae is getting out of control. Currently I have 20 ceith snails, 2 common cleaner shrimp, and 10 hermit crabs. I need to order more crabs and snail and possibly other cleaners.

Do most of you order your cleaning crew online...if so where from?

Can someone recomend how many and what kind of snail I should get?

How many scarlet hermits should I get?

Are there any other good cleaners that someone can recomend?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Astreas and turbos are great cleaner snails. So are nassarious snails. I have a great lfs so I don't order animals online. Sorry, I can't help you there. If you are going reef I wouldn't recommend hermits. They get big and will bulldoze your corals. I have a blue leg hermit and he has to come out.
 
Nasarius snails are a good snail.... and they are cheap too. Sorry, I can't recommend anywhere to buy them, I work for a marine fish wholesaler, so I get everything I need at work.... What I can say is that of all the snails we order in, the better nasarius snails come from Florida.... Hope this helps!

If you live near the ocean.......

Search out you local dive shops and ask around for dive sites....take some fins and snorkel with you and collect your snails for free:D
If you got a scuba tank and reg....>:) that is even better, cause you can get the bigger algaedozers:P
