P pab AC Members Dec 12, 2004 18 0 1 Dangerously close to Branson Feb 15, 2005 #1 I have aponogentons in my ten gallon. besides the leaves, they grow just stem looking things that extend up above the water level, when they do this they turn white. my question is can i cut the unleaved portions off w/out hurting the plant.

I would cut them off so the plants put more energy into leaves. they should be obviously different than the new leaves at the same hight.
