Have betta...purchased from local pet store...nice owner, went to highschool with him...said the betta I was interested in was a female, because, see? HER colors were mute, although (light peach, peach fins, and scarlet "spots" on HER fins and tail), her fins were that of a male. Curiously I looked at him....whatever. If it is some rare rendition of a female betta (or not), could someone let me know?

I'm "ferklemt" again (sorry, don't know the proper spelling. Thank SNL)

Any chance you could post a picture? There are some serious betta-heads around here, they can likely help if they saw the animal.

Yeah a pic would help a lot... finnage doesn't always determine males from females. I've had long-finned females and short-finned males. A pic would be the best help.
