It's seems my blood parrot has taken up some odd hobies. He likes to spend most of his time cuddled up against the heater. And today he has started moving all the gravel in the aquarium to the other side, one stone at a time. He dives down, and sucks up a single stone into his mouth, swims to the other side, and drops into the corner, then goes back and repeats. He seems to be very picky about which stones to move, inspecting several before deciding which ones to add to the pile.
Is he attempting to build some sort of nest?

sounds like it!
Sounds like the blood parrot is bored. Blood parrots are smart and like to have things to do. Do you feed live foods and what other fish do you have in with the blood parrot.

He's in the tank with 2 angel fish, and 3 electric yellow cichlids.
You can actually see my tank live at http://buffner.no-ip.org:8088
you can't actually see his pile right now, because it's behind the flower pots on the right side of the tank.
A fish cam.....I'm just glad to see I'm not the only one that thought of that! :D

It's very relaxing to watch the fish when i'm at home, so I thought I would set something up so I could watch them while I'm at work too. It's sure beats the aquarium screensaver.
Ahh, whats bored computer geeks will do for fun :)
Don't get me wrong, I think its a great idea, I just haven't implement it yet :D

I was having that problem, too, but when I made it a stand alone it smoothed out perfectly. Maybe it'll work for you as well...?

It really depends on how many people are watching it at the same time. It's hosted on a cable modem with a fairly slow outbound connection. if there is only 1 person it's nice and smoothe, 2 people usually looks ok, and 3 it gets very stuttery.
I see there is a Hitch Hiker's fan out there :) You will by happy to know all my servers are named after charactors. My router is "Random", my desktop is "Zaphod", because it's got 2 monitors. The media server hosting the video is named "Marvin". I've also got "Trillian", and "WowBanger" doing a few random type things.

Hey, don't worry about it! When I want my bandwidth back I just hit a button and disconnect everyone :)
