The Florida Flag fish for being easily the most industrious algae eater I have ever owned. I love my oto's and my SAE's but when it comes down to flat out attacking algae the FFF beats them both. I was starting to get a pretty severe outbreak of green hair algae so I bought a trio of them Friday night to put in my 65g and most of it is already gone. They swim up to it, grab a big mouthful and just thrash their bodies until it tears loose.
I'm pretty sure that I got three males so I shouldn't have to worry about mating aggression and so far they have totally ignored all my fish except my Rams. They follow the Rams around but never harass them. Its almost as if they are spellbound, its actually pretty funny to watch.
