This program will be broadcast on ABC from 8-10 p.m. Eastern time.

I hope everyone will have time to watch (tape it for later) this program.

"The program draws on interviews with police officers, pilots, military personnel, scientists and ordinary citizens who give extraordinary accounts of encounters with the unexplained. Also included are the voices of professional skeptics about UFOs, including scientists who are leading the search for life forms beyond Earth elsewhere in the universe."

"As one of the world's leading theoretical physicists says in the program, "You simply cannot dismiss the possibility that some of these UFO sightings are actually sightings from some object created by … a civilization perhaps millions of years ahead of us in technology."

TiVO!

Just kidding, TiVO isn't for everyone. You could look at it this way, a special with Peter Jennings is bound to be better written than a "reality" show.

We do have Tivo, I couldn't live without it! But you can't record one show and watch another at the same time, unless the show you want to watch is one that's already been recorded by the Tivo... I could watch it on another TV while Tivo records Survivor, but that means i'd be locking myself in my bedroom and leaving the hubby to fend for himself with two small children... It would be ugly... They'd beat him up for sure!!

:D

We were headed for that problem (TiVO only records one program at a time), but there IS a TiVO that uses two signal inputs at the same time, meaning you can record two programs at once, as long as one of them is actually being watched, solving the "which one to watch?" issue.

Yea, what we usually do is let the tivo record one show and we change the input option on the tv to watch the other show. My main problem is that it's on at 7:00 here... that's right in the middle of bathtimes and bedtimes for my 2 little grubsnatchers... so i'll end up missing most of it anyway.

And I CANNOT miss Survivor... it's a little, uh, problem that I have....

Can't help ya with that one. I've been resisting that show since it came out and I can honestly say I have not sat thru an entire episode of ANY reality show (unless you count "Drawn Together," which is as much "reality" as any other of the recent "reality" shows).

I'm really not a big reality show fan... I PROMISE!! ;) We've watched Survivor since the first season, I guess we like the premise or something... or maybe we like to watch the people get into fights... or maybe it's the late night kissy kissy grabby grabby that always seems to happen when you get a bunch of hot guys on an island with a bunch of surgically enhanced women... Who knows, but we like it!

The only other reality show that I watched was Temptation Island... I'm not proud of that either, but it was like watching a trainwreck, it was so horrible that I couldn't not watch it. I am a sick person.....

Dude, it's on the same time as the Apprentice. That's like the one TV show a week I watch aside from Sesame Street and Postcards from Buster! Sorry, if the aliens can't agree to a better time slot then their not as powerful as we thought and are not worthy of my time.

It seemed like old news to me. I didn't really see anything new. I missed the 1st half hour though :(

Peter Jennings was on the Daily Show and discussed it a bit. Fairly interesting. First time that the 'serious' media has given extensive coverage with a serious tone to the topic. Of course, there are apparently many people who think that Mr. Jennings is part of a government conspiracy now...

I liked his summary of the show the most

"I was skeptical before the show, and Im still skeptical after the show. I believe UFO's exist, Im just not sure whose driving"

The show stunk to high heaven. Same old BS, nothing new. Didn't surprise me at all. They did it for ratings, nothing more.

I missed the first part of it...

Did they show the STS-48 video????

Disappointment in the show comes from wanting to know the 'truth'... I can understand that emotion! :dance

No they didn't and that footage is lame anyway, it's just normal debris. I wasn't expecting truth BTW. IMO there is and never has been any tangible evidence that we have ever been visted. What some people call definitive proof I laugh at.
