I was hoping someone could help me with a problem I have. I ordered about 50 bux of plants and bathed in potassium permangnate (Clear Water). I know ppl recommend 10-15 minute bath but I believe I left the plants in potassium permangnate bath for about 30 minutes. I washed the plants off with tapwater afterwards. It has been two days since they have been plants in my tank and it seems like all the plants are nearly dead! Some leaves are turning brown and dead and a lot of plants are starting to show yellow leaves. I have DIY CO2 injection with 60 watts of light in 20 gallon tank. I am not sure if I did anything wrong or if it is normal to have leaves turn yellow and die in the beginning of planting. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Did I kill my plants with potassium permangnate dips??

I forgot to mention what kind of plants I have. They are mostly low light- moderate light plants.
- Java fern = looks fine so far
- Anubias nana = one yellow leaf
- sagitarria pusilla "dwarf" - some dead leaves
- Vallisneria tortifolia "corkscrew" - These look like they are nearly dead. When they were shipped, they did look as bad as this. It has only been two days. Some leaves are dead and some other are yellow.
- Crytocornye wendtii= seem OK so far.

Please help me~ :sad

Thats the only thing I can think of. Even if your tank was death row for plants it would take longer than a couple of days for them to reach that stage.
