My water is clean then i go to do my weekly change and i use my gravel vacummMind telling us the exact method you use to gravel vac and how much water you are taking out and how big the tank is. Also, are you taking any readings with test kts before or after this?
then the nrxt day it is dirtyDirty how? Lots of floating particulate matter? The sides of the tank are dirty? What kind of gravel vacuum are you using? Also, what kind of filtration is on this tank?
so i need to take the fish out and give it a good old scrub i no i shoodnt but the gravel vaccum is not helpingWhat kind of fish are these? Where are they housed when you do this "good old scrub" and what exactly are you doing in this good old scrub?
wot can i do :confused:Well, if you answer the above questions it's a start in helping us understand what is going on so we can help you out. Good luck!

i put the grave; l vaccum in a nd move all the gravel around and but it in deep. I take out use usually 5L. No i dont do tests. The water is like cloudy no floating particles just as if it hasnt been changed for a gd few months. The sides of the tank are dirty and that is what i mean by a good old scrub getting a sponge and water and washing the glass. I use an small interpet and i have a fluval 1. There is a cory 4 neons 2 black widows

How often do you do filter maintenance? Also, how big is the entire tank?

Okay, here's what I can tell you so far. Your tank is overstocked. You are not changing enough water. I would change at least 10L/week. All tank sides get a little spoty after a while. I wipe down the sides and front of my tank every week as part of my regular maintenance. Some folks use algae magnets, I have a washcloth that I handwash and use specifically for this purpose. How old is your tank?

Sounds like it may be going through another mini cycle after cleaning out the filters. What kind/ and how do you clean the filters?

You should clean filters with old water from the tank. How old is the tank? Do you replace any filter media when you clean the filter?
