Melafix and ICK

Hello, I am treating a tank with a dwarf Gourami who was beaten up by another bigger gold gourami. Then I brought home 2 fish from the LFS with some Ick (Rummynose Tetras). I tried to treat with quick cure following the directions (though I treated them as if they were not tetras; full doses) them but after 3 days (as Quick Cure claims) i brought them back since they were getting worse instead of getting better. now several (about 5) of the fish in that tank have ICK. Im pretty upset about this since this was because of some lousy fish that were sold to me. anyway....
first off, the quick cure killed my ghost shrimps which no one at the LFS warned me of.

here's my question.

will melafix and quick cure interfere with eachother? is it ok to use both in the same day?

I can't answer your specific question but when mine had ich I did what most of the people here recomended....raise the temp and treat with aquarium salt (some say table salt is fine too but I used aquarium salt). Worked like a charm!

I think they have some good info there sometimes. I like to use a combination of places to get my info, ie this site, aquariumfish.net, dr fosters and smith, petshub, and a couple other places that I forget off the top of my head...

I dont know about quick fix but I have used melafix with coppersafe at the same time with no troubles.
