Marineland Bioblend

Depends on the type. I have the pellets, and they are very good--some stay on the surface, some sink immediately, others kind of float around the tank. Not the best for a species only setup, but great for sommunity tanks. I've been using it to supplement my tanks for about a year now, and will continue to use it. The herbivore formula sinks much quicker than the tropical type. I feed the tropical formula to my office tank--the cherry barbs ate all of it, but the new paradise fish picks through and only eats some colors--the snails clean up the rest.

I use the pellets for my goldfish and they love it..... they pick off the top and off the falling and bottom pieces equally.... to me, it's a lot neater (tidier than flake)

i've been using bio-blend for awhile now. if you are not careful, yes a lot of it can end up getting to the bottom. my fish love it tho. since it can come out of the shaker top really fast, just be careful and tap out a little bit at a time. a little bit getting to the bottom is ok if you have bottom feeders/scavengers. my ghost shrimp pick up most of the extras

I have the bio-blend bottom feeder food and i don't think my fish eat it at all. So I only give them a pellet the day before or day of a water change.
