Cotton Fungus Amongstus?????????????????? HELP!!!
Help Please!!! Here's the run down....I have several fish I got from a friend that was getting rid of his tank. One was already dead when I picked these guys up ....I assumed it was neglect, as that was the reason for their coming to live with me. Anyway...all was great for about..oh..3 days. Then the carnage began, after 3 fish died, I finally *thought* I figured the problem out. It looks like Cotton Fungus. White, furry patches, and within 24 hours, the fish is dead. I went and bought the only medicine that seemed good..in the store employees opinion as well as mine..2 doses in the tank, and came home to a dead Spotted Hoplo..and the other small Hoplo isn't looking too good around part of his tailfin. I bought "PimaFix".....it says not to do any water changes for 7 days..is this correct??? The water tested fine all week, including this morning......help?
