My fish came down with ich about a week and a half ago, and since then ive been treating them with QuICK cure (formalin, malachite green) as per the directions every day as well as 20-30% water changes daily. it went away, but just today i noticed a few tiny tiny ich spots on my fish again (i havent stopped treatment yet). My tank is currently cycling as well, so im wondering if it will effect that at all. I have added Hagen's "cycle" recently too. My temp is currently set at about 80 degrees. Would it be a good idea to bring it up to 86 for a while? (ive heard ich will die at that temperature).

also, just curious, are there any other diseases that cause little white spots?

I have been researching ich and I learned that if you notice ich on your fish 1st you raise your temprature and if you have carbon rocks in your filter cartridge take your cartridge out cuz those cartridges take out the medicines from the water. 2nd go to your local fish store and get some ich medicine. Usually natural medicine is better because you can put it in with your other fish. other non natural medicines you have 2 separate the fish.If you have just started your aquarium and are still adding fish wait a while once u spot ich. because ich is cuased by a parasite in your water every fish u put in there well feel sick and get stressed. Also when you raise the heat what u r doing is speeding up the stages of ich. After ich is gone frome fish and u have stopped using the medicine do a 25 % water change and gravel cleen.Cuz when the ich comes off the fish it just waits for another fish to attach onto but if it doesn't it will slowly die down. Also some medicines have coper in them and will hurt a fish with outscales..... that was long
