White Film on my LR (PIC)

I've had my tank setup up for about a week now. I'm cycling my tank with the LR. Last few days I've noticed a white film developing on it in places. It almost looks like a sheet of spider web, like from a funnel weaver. I'm just curious what this is. Anyone know? Any links for more reading?

Can sponges live in extreme NH3? Because my tank is spiked.

Yes, but if you take the rock out of the rock for a second they will die.

Funny thing. They have been in there a while-several days, but today, they look like they are dying.

i also have a white web like coating(see my post in this forum) that has come to cover all my rocks and glass, but not the fish or inverts???? what the heezy is this studd?? there are pics in my post in this forum :help:
