75 gallon
1- jack dempsey 5 inch
3-JD's 3 inch
4-JD's 1 inch
2-convicts one 4 inch one 1inch
1-standard pleco 10 inch
30 gallon
8 inch red devil

I would say 30 gallon is not enough for a Red Devil.
how do you keep your devil in with other fish? mine kills everything in the tank including a soapdish crab 2 days ago. ive never found a tankmate for him and ive tried them all!!!

all those JDs will be a huge bio load on a 75 when they are mature.

I think that you will be over stocked in the 75 and the 30 is too small for the red devil. You Should put the red devil in the 75.

I agree. The RD needs the 75g all to himself. Either get another larger tank or part with some fishes.

IMO to keep all those JD's and the Plec together at maturity (No convicts, the JD's'll probably kill'em) You'll need no less than a 200gal. And if they start breeding you'll have severe territorial issues in a 200 gal.
The Red Devil needs a 75-100gal for himself.
Convicts are not good tankmates for JD's or the RD IMHO, so the Con's will need a 30 gal + for themselves.

The red devil will not live long in the 30. IME you can't even try to put other fish in with RDs unless he is in 75+ gallon tank.
Get rid of some of the dempseys say two in a 75 and you will be alright, and you will be able to keep the cons.
It's alot better to have fewer, happy, extremely colorful cichlids. Than a bunch of dull, faded, stressed ones.
ive tried the devil in the 75 with only the pleco and 1 small dempsey and one 4 inch jd and he killed them both i tried putting the rd in my buddys 175 with his 15 inch oscars and it allmost killed them within an hour thats why he is in a small tank all alone untill i can get him a 55 for him self. as for the jds once they start to grow to large my buddy wants a couple of them. ill also have a 125 by the end of the year.

That is a Devil for ya.. They may seem fine when they are younger but with age they just become psycho and kill everything. I manage to keep mine with other fish because they are all young (about 2" right now) and keeping them since they were almost fry. Already planning on separating within the next few months.. (Getting another 2 55 Gallons, one for the Devil and the other for the Convicts).
