Hey everyone! New to the site (obviously - first post) and I have a few questions about my new upgrade.

Closing out my 55 gallon in favor of a 72gal bowfront that is drilled.

Filled it with wager last night. This is my first tank with a sump in years (sump is a 3-chamber with skimmer). I never remember my old tank being as loud as this is. The return is 3/4" with a 700gal/hour pump. The drain is 1". It seems to be draining faster tham it is filling (1st issue) and the water falling into the sump is louder than a bad dishwasher. Water level is about 2/3 of the sump capacity. Any thoughts?

Regards,

Jon

Where did you add the valve? Just before the sump? right now I have a ton of flexible line in there - should I switch to PVC?

Thanks for the help!
