Will aquarium salt to treat a fish affect the tank's cycle?

I have a betta that had his tail fin torn, and he looks stressed from his new move. Although he definatly isn't acting stressed! He LOVES his new big home!

I don't have a test kit for Nitrite...yet... Is that as important as the others?

Well the cycle is:

Ammoina->Nitrite->Nitrate

So Id say yes it is important.

So if that is normal, as well as everything else, should I still add the Aquarium salt as well as the Bettafix?

Well Iv never treated fin rot so I dont know how to fix it. Maybe you should do a search and start a new trend. However I do know that it is caused my poor water. is it possible to return the fish and do a fishless cycle?
