Wondering if anyone had any extra. Home Depot doesn't carry it around here and found that its pretty much impossible to get.

Don't stress. As long as you can maintain the pH of your tank without additional buffering, you can use any kind of sand.
We setup all our tanks using medium grade play sand. It's sort of ruddy brown dry, bright white in the tanks. Haven't had any problems, the fish either ignore it or love burying themselves in it. If you have a few coral skeletons, this should make up for any buffering issues. Argonite just isn't a requirement.

If you feel like taking a little trip, I've got 100lbs here for the taking :)

NJ is a little to far of a trip. But I will pay for shipping if you want to ship them out.

Actually, I have one sealed bag (50lbs). The other bag is opened and half full and I'd like to hang onto that for another project. You're welcome to the full bag, although shipping is going to be absurd for a $4 bag of sand. Your call. If you want it, it's yours.
Have you checked with the local HD about ordering some? There's a SKU# for southdown you could find by searching a few reef boards. Maybe they can have a pallet brought in (they'll probably tell you no at first, but other non-East Coasters have been able to arrange this). Just an FYI- the stuff is tough to get this time of year, even around here. I went to 5 stores before I found some. It's considered a seasonal item.
If you do want me to ship, what I would suggest doing first before blowing all that money, is place a wanted ad on Reef Central. Higher volume there, you may get lucky and find someone local who has extra. Let me know.

Alright Scotty, you owe me. I contacted a friend in Chicago who recently set up another tank. He got Southdown from a guy named "billzie" on RC. PM him and see if he has any left. He said at the time, this guy was taking orders from other locals. He was setting up a huge system and had a pickup truck full.
