Has anyone here ever glass in their aquarium as a decoration. I'm in a kiln glass class, and I think it would be really cool to put a transparant colored glass piece in there. All of the edges would be rounded, but I've never heard of anyone doing this

My friend has a few large glass stones in her tank, and my LFS sells really pretty HUGE pieces of colored glass, big rocks more or less. Don't the kilns (sp?) use some sort of chemicals though, that would be a potential problem if so

My dad has colored glass vases, glass sculptures and more in his tank, hes had them in there for a few months and no problems have arised.
If all your putting in the kiln is just regular/colored glass, i would have to say it is safe. I know that some ceramic glazes have lead and such in them, which would make them bad.

I use glass bottles; they look cool.

It's just regular glass heated to temperatures where it liquifies and runs together. Now that I think about it, if people can eat off of it, I presume it is safe for the fishies

I have often wondered if Lead is bad in the tank. I know it is bad for humans but all of the plants that come into the LFS still use lead weights to keep them together. Should I remove these weights and dispose of them?
