I've had my tank set up for about a week now and the sand I put in there was an oolitic aragamax. The problem is that my water is so freakin cloudy that you can barely see in it. I drained my 55 last night scooped all 90lbs out and rinsed it again. Three hours it took to rinse it all. I mixed up my water again and added the sand back in. It's better then what it was but its still cloudy. Will this go away or do I have to live with it. I was planning on adding the LS on Friday. Will it settle? HOw long do I have to deal with this?

It will settle. Patience, my friend. Go ahead and add the live seeding sand, no worries. You can run some floss in your filter to quicken the clearing if it really gets to ya.

Adding Live Sand should actually speed the settling of the sand, as the bacteria introduced will begin to spread and weigh down the suspended particles of sand.

I have only 100 pounds of Southdown in my 125 (I'll add a lot more once I get my live rock). It was a big cloudy mess for ten days. Today, I came home to a perfectly clear tank. I suspect I have some bacteria now to stick to the particals and weigh them down. Patience, patience, patience.

Its getting better today, I didn't think it would ever clear, it looked like I poured 55 gallons of milk in a tank LOL I appreciate the advice.

Yea, my tank was cloudy like that for two weeks, despite having LR and live sand in the tank...

I got fed up and added an AC300 with a lot of carbon in it. The water was clear in one night.

Funny. I'll be dumping in 200 pounds of SD soon. I purchased a couple of those FW cartride filters to put over my intake to filter out the stuff for a few hours to speed things up a bit...
