I want to wish you a Happy Texas Independence Day. On this day in 1836 the Republic of Texas was born and began it's fight for freedom from Mexico. Thousands of brave Texians gave their lives to form their own nation, free to govern themselves as they saw fit. Santa Anna and the Mexican Army began their march just a little over a fortnight later to put down the rebellion on March 17. Of course, we all know how that turned out. God Bless Texas.
