I just purchased a new fish and have had it in quarantine for about 10 days now. It is showing signs of fin rot which is progressing very rapidly.
How do you treat a fish with fin rot? I put melafix in the quarantine tank.
Should I feed it medicated food as well? Or use something stronger in the tank?
Water quality is not an issue I checked ammonia, nitrate, and nitrite and all were undetectable. My pH is 8.2 and my temp is 77. Why would this show up 10 days after it's been in quarantine if my water quality is good?
