I have a 20 gal planted tank that I have had running for about 2 weeks and was wondering if I should be injecting C02.I have a 65 watt power compact light with a 10000k bulb.I have been adding Flourish Excel for just about a week.I have Eco-Complete as a substrate.I added 6 zebra danios when I set up the tank .My readings are:
KH- 120
GH- 150
PH- 7.2

I checked out the C02 calculator on the other site that is mentioned on this forums site and it tells me that my CO2 is 12.6 ppm

If you're dosing Flouish Excel and happy with that, just slightly increase the dosage to get your CO2 up. If you want to inject CO2 with a DIY system you could do that and probably stop dosing Excel.

How are the plants? If they're doing well, why mess with it? If you run into algae issues due to the excess light, adding CO2 (or dosing more Excel as mentioned) would help the plants get an edge over the algae.

My plants seam alittle weak. But I'm not sure if they just need time to get adjusted.I just put them in about 11 days ago and didn't know if I'm just being impatient or not.I had to order them from somewhere that had to send them to me 2nd day fedex so I didn't know if maybe it was something I was doing wrong or if maybe they were just readjusting after being pulled out of the supplier's tank and sent to me.
