That's too bad. This happens more often that what makes the national news. Between the dolphins and the manatees those folks are kept quite busy :(

I know, Knife...... I mean sure it happens more often than we think.... but to think and realize how complex they are and to go through...... *sigh* maybe I'm just a mush today. :(

Sad situation for the them.

We spent a weeks vacation down there at Marathon before the hurricanes hit.
It would be nice to go back.....

From what I understand, there's about a hundred reasons why they do that. Sometimes they can rescue them, sometimes not. Some of reasons are due to human encroachment but it's also been happening long before Florida was very populated. I dunno........... :o
