How long before the Fry will be big enough to NOT get eaten? I have all community fish. Here are the threats that they would have to be big enough to avoid:

2.5" Pearl Gourami
2" Irain Rainbowfish
2" Dwarf Gourami
3" Red-Tail Shark
2 African Dwarf Frogs (probably too fast for these frogs to get em)
And a Siamese Algae Eater (he won't even eat live brine shrimp, just eats the dead ones off the bottom!)
4 Zebra Danios (not too worried about these guys...)

Thanks. I'm trying to decide whether or not the fish will grow up in time to move to my planted tank or if I should just buy some more now!

How big is the mouth on that red tailed cat?

Usually 2-3 weeks is enough for molly fry to outgrow being eaten, but some of your fish are exceptions to this rule. Anything, and I mean anything that can fit in that red tailed cats mouth is lunch, eventually.

Harlock I think you misread, it says shark. lol ;). I'd give the fry 2-3 weeks just as harlock said.

Ah, so I did! Thank goodness. I was wondering how long until he ate all his tankmates and burst forth from the tank! Yeah then, 2-3 weeks should be enough time usually. Keep in mind, even fish from the same brood can vary in growth rates and sizes so be careful. Just try a few of the largest at a time.

haha! I misread too! I didn't even notice that you were saying red tail CAT! I was suprised to hear that you thought Red-Tail Sharks were that hungry! I wish I had a tank/lake big enough to keep a Red Tail Cat. They are gorgeous.
