This is my 2nd tank and I went a little nuts on this one. 
So here is the setup that happened on day 1 - 135 gallon tank, 180 lbs cured live rock, live sand, sump, protien skimmer. I let it run for 5 weeks and yesterday I added my long awaited light and two clown fish to test things out (bad experience with jerky damsels).
The light is an AquaMedic 750 Watt Ocean Light MH. It is the most brilliant light I have ever seen (should have been for the price), and when it is on the tank has this marine-ish or fishy smell. The light is suspended 15 inches above the waters surface. My levels are great and the water appears clear. My last tank was a 55 gallon with a standard MH and it never smelled like this.
Has anyone experienced this? Will it stop? Any ideas on what it might be?
