Hey guys,

Im currently running a 72 gallon, mederately heavily planted community tank. Within this tank i currently have 4 blue rams and 2 golden rams plus other community fish. A total of 6 rams. What i would like to know is, can other dwarf Cichlids be mixed with my current rams such as Krebensis and Apistos?

Also, does any one have any info (links) on these dwarf Cichlid, i cant seem to find any info on them, but my local LFS has them in stock....

1. Apisto Pandorini
2. Apisto cacatuoides orange
3. Apisto cacatuoides double red
4. Apisto Viejitaz
5. Krebensis Cichlid
6. Krebensis "blue"

I cant find any info on these fish. I need to know what kind of foods they eat, how big they grow, what level they swim at, how to care for them, etc....

Thanks for all the help.

The Krib is how I came across all my dwarf cichlid info:

This will hopefully have all your apistogramma needs.

Probably the main concern would be territories and pairing... Is there room for additional dwarf cichlids to stake out territory? Are there mating pairs already in the tank which could be especially territorial? How many fish are in the tank total?

They also have kribensis (Pelvicachromis Pulcher) in the Miscellaneous African Dwarf Cichlids.

hope it helps

I have....

6 Barbs
3 Clown loaches
2 Dwarf Gouramis
6 Rams (4 male, 2 female)
2 Platies
2 Diamond tetras
5 Ottos
4 Harliquin Rasboras

This is all in a 72 gallon, not many fish for a tank this size as most of the fish are small. My loaches are also only 2.5 inches. I probably have enough bottom dwellers though..........

I would not consider the Kribensis as they may be a little rough on the Rams. Cacatuoides are the easiest to work with of the Apistos but I wouldn't put more than one species of Apistos with the Rams. Hope this helps a little.

Yes it does. I think ill give the Rams some space on the bottom and get some top dwelling fish like Rainbows instead.

Thanks.
