I have 5 little goldfish in a 15 gallon aquarium. Are they over crowded. Should i bye a bigger tank???
:D
;)

i heard that fish only grow theire normal size if they are in a very big aquarium. At the pet shop they told me that it wouldont be a problem to keep them in my 15 gallon tank.

Fish that are not able to achieve 'normal' adult size due to small tanks and poor water conditions are stunted and will not live their normal life span. You should return all but one of those goldies unless you plan to get a larger tank for them. If you want more fish, return all of them and start with fish appropriate for the tank.

Because they were trying to sell you something. The truth of the matter is that fish need to grow their normal size. Otherwise their internal organs get stunted from the hormone they produce in crowded environments that tells their bodies to stop growing. By keeping even one goldfish, let alone five, in a 15 gallon tank you are cruelly condemning it to a very diminshed lifespan with a quality of life no better than if you were living in a 5'x5' closet all of your natural life.

i just heard that my mom keeped a 50 gallon tank and that i could use it. Will that be okay???
If it's not inof what siz of tank should i by??? :idea2:

Better, but still not enough room for 5 adults. You'll hear anywhere from 20 gallons per fish up 10 gallons per inch if goldfish.
