ovipositor ?

Maybe I should ask this a different way.. :)
Is it kind of like an egg spot on a female betta?
I've noticed something like that on my Female ram, who looks like she possibly has eggs...
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!
Even just a guess!
 
Boy, Ems, aren't you getting rather personal? Well, in most of my cichlids, the vent is rather whitish/opaque, small and blunt. Sounds like she might be getting ready to spawn. Good luck!
 
I don't think you need to be worried...keep an eye on it and see if there are any changes
