i have a 55gal with a blackmoor, lionhead, and redcap oranda goldfish. as well as 2 black mystery snails. the snails are great.. except they dont eat the brown algea on the side of the tank

so what can i get that will eat this stuff?

If your bioload weren't maxed out I'd suggest a baby pleco. Mine has eaten every trace of brown algae and keeps it up even though I feed him plenty of other food. But three goldfish in a 55 is pushing it already, so if you add anything, get rid of the snails first. And only put a baby plec in if you're prepared for a really big tank in a year or two and are an obsessive water changer. Good luck! :)

P.S. If not well-fed, plecos have been known to suck on fish, killing them, so veggies, wood and wafers aplenty.
