i'm planning to put 2 5 inch vieja argentea in a 5x2x2 tank together with my 16 inch arowana..

This means that they are aggressive towards other fish in general and highly aggressive towards each other.
I think you can plan on seeing some errrr..... Aggression, as they cannot avoid each other in a 5'x2'x2' enviroment.
How bad this aggression may become will depend on the temperament of the individual fish.
