What do you find is the best thing to feed your fish? Do you have a rotating feeding schedule?

Variety is always important and different fish have different needs. I have mollies, head and tail light tetras, cories a couple of guppies and ghost shrimp. They get flake mainly, and bloodwors 2 or 3 times a week plus algae discs 2-3 times per week with one fasting day.

Depends on the fish.

I feed my rainbow trout standard trout pellets but also crickets, minnows, snails, worms, shrimp, bug nymphs, ect.

My gar get carnivorous pellets but also feeder fish, nightcrawlers, grasshoppers and pieces of meat. Same with my sunfish.

My other fish get a variety of flake foods, pellets, vegetables and meats.

I feed once daily w/hikari cichlid gold, and once weekly w/live feeder goldfish
I found out that i was overfeeding when i was feeding 2x a day and that led to poor water quality for me.

Harlock I use a fasting day as well. I always have... it seems more natural since I doubt my fish would be getting so much protein/fat rich food everyday in the wild. What does everyone else think about a fasting day?
