I just got these new fish a week ago for my planted tank.

Anyone with some experience with Cockatoos have a good food suggestion? I noticed they are kind of picky eaters and don't like flake food or pellets much. They do like beef heart a little more, but would benefit from some variety.

Live brine shrimp, freeze-dried bloodworms, daphnia, and brine shrimp, and frozen bloodworms should all work. Water quality is very important (and a lack of appetite can be the first sign of a problem), so keep up with your water changes, filter cleanings, and gravel vacuumings.

Great looking fish. The male looks like a double (or triple) red.

Thanks, I'll have to try some of those foods. And yes, the male is a double red. A triple red would be cool, but I've never seen them here. Hopefully I'll get a good picture of him soon.
