What does a dwarf puffer consider heavily planted? I currently have five 9-12" plants, two 5" plants, one 2.5-3" grassy plant, and a vine-like ground cover which varies in length from 2-6" in my 10gal. They are all artificial and the "grave-lock" bases make it difficult to really bunch them together to make it look densely as planted as I want it. I know a pic would make it easier so I'll try and get one ASAP. I also have a small cave in there. Would this number of plants and one cave provide enough hiding places for a 2-3 dwarf puffers? Or do you think I need more?
thanks,
Steph

pic of my tank

I tried to attach the pics to the post but they were too big, so I had to make a webpage lol. Here's the link:

Tell me what you think:
1)Does this look like a good set-up for 2-3 dwarf puffers?
2)Do I need to add some more plants or another cave?

To me that is a nice looking setup, but it is not dense enough for DPs IME. that open-all-the-way-across the front is too much. One aggresive puffer can patrol the whole tank easily and quickly. Break that internal sight line with at least a couple of staggered plants across the front and you should be good to go.

You want to be able to see as much as possible, but you don't want any one puffer to do the same. Do that make sense? Set so that you can see but they cannot.

^ Agreed RTR. You know too much... :D

Put some plants in the front and mid parts of the tank.
