has anyone heard of a watermelon crab? or, more importantly, does anyone know were to get them? they are a type of fiddler crab that has a blue and black striped caripas and red limbs. thanks for any help cro.

I think I've seen them before at the LFS. The ones I saw had a more teal/aqua carapace than straight blue. I don't remember what they were called, and they were hella expensive.

They are very hard to find. And oddly enough they are offering them on www.aquabid.com right now. look under freshwater invertbrates.

I believe "watermelon crabs"/"blue devil fiddler crabs" to be Uca annulipes, a burrowing mangrove-dweller; see the following websites for some corroborative images:
