hello,
I haven't been in this freshwater foram, but I just switched my 90 marine over to a freshwater. I just ran out of time and cash and believe it or not I got bored with my SW. I have had freshwater for many years, but never one of this size.
It's almost done cycling so I am trying to decide what to get. I am thinking I want Gouramies. Like a species tank, but I hear that they don't like to school. Of course I like Angels, but I want more than just them and I heard that they do well with the Gouramies,(or some of the Gouramies)
So I was thinking, if I get five or six female assorted Gouramies, five Angels and then a few cats, bottom feeders, and inverts, what else could I get that might school? By the way when the fish get too large I can just take them to work and trade them in for smaller ones, so I am not worried about them out growing the tank.
I have a really good filteration, tickle system, and emporer....I am not sure what size, but it is the biggest one.
Thanks for any info on gouramies. :bowing:

Gouramis and Angels can, at times, vie for dominance in the tank. You're dealing with good sized cichlids and anabantids here. Both are known for territoriality and aggressiveness. I would avoid combining them, myself.
