Hello all, its been awhile since I last posted. I bought a home and have a wonderful, no, make that an awesome place for a built in aquarium. My problem: Salt water or Fresh Water? I have had both, so thought I would put a general post here as well as the Salt Water general post and see what everyone else says about the pros and cons. Here are the specs:

The tank will be 3' wide x 3' deep x 2' high which = approx. 133 gallons! woo hoo.
approx. 1200lbs with water alone.

Let me know what you would do with this!

Thanks so much in advance.

Cheers:

Mike

Well, I miagine this will be lopsided considering where you've posted them... anyway...

I would make a FW planted tank. Heavily planted, high light, big school of tiny tropicals for the color and movement. 21 cardinal tetras, 21 lemon tetras, 21 harlequin rasboras, 25 pygmy or panda cory cats and two trios of guppies for some variety. They'd love you for the plants and with larger school of such colorful yet distinctly individual fish (within these confines anyway) there would be motion and beauty. If you wanted a dwarf gourami pair (if you're lucky enough to find a female) would be cool in there too.

Put your tank in the wall so you can see it from both sides. Some wooden cabinets above would be great. You can open them up to get in your tank. One end of the tank might be connected to a small closet with a sink so you can do maintenace. Just close the door and everything is gone.
