I have had my female in with my male betta for a week or so now, and the female finally acquired some vertical stripes last night. What is the next step in betta breeding? I have a few floating objects in the tank, but it looks like my male is making a bubble nest behind the filter. Should I keep the filter running and live them in, stop the filter, or take the fish out and put them in bowls?

ok i need more info here they are in the same tank with nothing seperating them? if she has vert. stripes and is fat as soon as they are ready they will breed if everything is right with the water levels and heat. as for where the bubble nest try cutting foam cup in half and tape it to the side of the tank and see if that works for him to build under.
